About Uni Markets

Uni Markets is where students buy from the businesses already trading around campus — the kota stand next to Block C, the printing service near the library, the person doing braids in res.

Buying needs no account

Browse, search, favourite and order without signing up. You give your name and WhatsApp number when you place an order, and nothing else. Orders are tracked with an order number, not a login.

Selling is free

Any student running a business on campus can apply, and the store goes live right away. Verified stores carry a badge. Uni Markets does not take a cut — buyers pay sellers directly.

Reporting a problem

Every product, post and store has a report option. You don't need an account to use it. Reports go to the Uni Markets team, who can remove content or suspend a store.

Who built Uni Markets

Uni Markets was created by Webbex Solutions (Pty) Ltd, a South African software company. It was built for the student businesses already trading around campus — the ones selling out of res rooms, between lectures and on WhatsApp — so that finding them does not depend on knowing someone who knows them.
